As board-certified specialists, we have expertise in diagnosing and treating dogs and cats with complex chronic or acute internal medicine conditions. In fact, we’re the most experienced small-animal internal medicine practice in Southeast Georgia.

  We had an excellent visit at Savannah Veterinary Internal Medicine. Everyone from the front office staff, to the tech Kassandra and on to Dr. Woods made us feel welcome and cared for from the moment we stepped in the practice. They listened to all of our concerns, answered all our questions, and gave a thorough evaluation of my greyhound, Boaz, with recommendations for next steps. They are very willing to work with our home vet and communicate  with us so that we can be on the same page helping Boaz to get better. We were sent notes of our visit with clear instructions of what to do next and the plan of action. I appreciate the concern and follow up after our visit as well.   We are so blessed to have  an amazing Internal Medicine Doctor , Dr.Woods and his assistant, Cassandra caring for our CaraMia's medical needs. She suffers from IBD and she has made incredible progress! We just moved to Okatie from NJ. I needed to find a expert in this field of internal medicine since CaraMia's IBD was not improving. Dr Woods changed her diet program.. plus needed meds to help her eat her new food! I'm so happy.... after 8 yrs of worry, tears and poor bowel movements ....CaraMia is  a happy, healthier pup .... a million thank yous!❤️🙏

  I truly have had an amazing experience meeting the staff here. My dog suffered a very rare complication after receiving antivenom due to a snake bite and his kidneys were injured as well. The staff were incredible! They were so heartwarming during this health scare that my dog and I faced. I’m so thankful for Dr Woods his team. To show our appreciation to the Internal medicine and ER staff we brought donuts for them. Azul wanted one bad, but he settled for a pup cup.
They literally saved my dog’s life and I would recommend them again and again!!

  The staff at Savannah Veterinary are very caring and knowledgeable.  They go above and beyond the expectations of pet moms like me!
